Terms and Conditions

This page explains the conditions for ordering from MK Cable, shipping and payment, returns and claims, use of this website, and the processing of personal data.

Orders, delivery and payment

The available delivery and payment options depend on the order, destination and any commercial terms approved for the customer.

Shipping

Dispatch & delivery

The standard shipping method is GLS parcel service. Customers may request a different freight forwarder.

  • Orders are dispatched EXW MK Cable warehouse
  • Alternative parcel, pallet or express services may be agreed
  • Delivery arrangements are confirmed for the individual order
Payment

Payment options

The following payment methods may be available according to the selected order route and approved customer terms.

  • Credit card via Shoptet Pay
  • Bank transfer against a proforma invoice
  • NET 30 from invoice date for approved customers
International

Customs, duties & taxes

Customers ordering outside the Czech Republic are responsible for any applicable customs charges, duties and taxes in addition to shipping charges.

  • Destination charges are not included unless expressly stated
  • Any special billing instructions must be agreed before dispatch
  • Risk of loss and title pass as described below under Website use

Returns, exchanges and defective products

Returns are accepted when the conditions below are met. Refunds are made using the original payment method. Original shipping charges are non-refundable and return shipping is paid by the customer unless an approved defective-product claim applies.

Preparing a return

  • The product must reach MK Cable within 14 days after the 14-day cooling-off period following receipt of the goods
  • Pack the product inside a cardboard box with sufficient protection
  • The product must be complete, in its original packaging and in resalable condition
  • Use a tracked carrier that provides signed proof of delivery
  • Include a written statement that the shipment is a return for refund and state the reason
  • For an exchange, place a new order online; the original order will be refunded separately
Defective goods Approval required

Claim procedure

Defective products are not subject to a restocking fee. Request and complete a Return Authorization Form before sending the goods.

  • MK Cable arranges and covers return shipping after the return is approved
  • Returned goods are inspected and the claim is approved or rejected within 30 days of receipt at the MK Cable warehouse
  • For an approved claim, the cost of the defective products is credited within five days
Request return authorization
Important return restrictions Items sent to another address will not be refunded. Custom-made, non-cancellable items are final sale and are not refundable. MK Cable may deny a return or apply a partial refund if the product is incomplete, damaged, not in its original packaging or not in resalable condition.

Restocking fees for delayed returns

Refunds may be delayed if the goods are not received within 14 days after the 14-day cooling-off period. The following restocking fees apply to later returns:

Consumer rights Alternative dispute resolution

Out-of-court settlement

A buyer who is a consumer may apply for the out-of-court settlement of a dispute arising from the legal relationship between the seller and the buyer.

The competent body is the Czech Trade Inspection Authority, which also supervises compliance with Act No. 634/1992 Coll., on Consumer Protection, as amended.

What information we collect and why

During checkout or account creation, MK Cable may collect your name, billing and shipping address, email address, telephone number, payment information and optional account information such as a username and password.

This information is used to process and deliver orders, communicate about accounts and orders, respond to requests, refunds and complaints, process payments and help prevent fraud, create customer accounts, comply with legal and tax obligations, improve store services and send marketing messages where the user has chosen to receive them.

While you use the site, MK Cable may also process products viewed, location, IP address, browser type and shipping address for purposes such as operating the site, retaining cart contents, estimating shipping and taxes, analytics and improving the user experience.

Retention, access and sharing

Personal data is retained for as long as needed for the purpose for which it was collected and for any period required by law. Order information is generally retained for ten years for tax and accounting purposes.

Authorised administrators and shop managers may access order and customer information where necessary to fulfil orders, process refunds and provide support.

Information may be shared with service providers that help operate the shop and deliver orders, including payment providers and carriers such as GLS and UPS. Such processing is limited to the services they provide and applicable legal requirements.

Payments
Payments are accepted through Shoptet Pay or direct bank transfer. Information required to process or support a payment, including the purchase total and billing information, may be passed to Shoptet Pay or the relevant bank.

Subject to the conditions of applicable law, you may request information about the processing of your personal data, access, correction, deletion or restriction of data, and may object to processing or withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

Cookies and Google Analytics

Cookies are small files saved by the browser with the user’s permission.
